Join Center for Irish Music instructors, Jode Dowling and Mary Vanorny, for some serious craic (fun). Participate in the first ever OID Feis session!

 

All ages and musical levels welcome.

MARY VANORNY - FIDDLE, ENSEMBLES
Mary plays with several local bands, including Brass Lassie, The Frothy Band, Captain Kaliber, Twin Cities Ceil Band, and Two Tap Trio. She also released her debut solo fiddle CD (First Light of Day) of Traditional Irish music in March of 2018, which features local musicians Ryan Johnson, Chad McAnally, and Matt Wehling. Mary teaches all ages fiddle and ensemble classes at CIM. 

JODE DOWLING - FIDDLE, CIM CO-FOUNDER
Jode has been playing Irish traditional music on the fiddle for over 30 years, learning from his musical family and at workshops in the US and Ireland. Jode has been teaching fiddle for over 9 years and in 2004, co-founded the Center for Irish Music with his wife, Kate Dowling. Jode teaches his lessons by ear, leveraging a large repertoire of tunes and experiences. A skilled and natural musician, Jode particularly enjoys teaching young students and teenagers.
